Public Transportation and Parking
Slought Foundation is located at 4017 Walnut Street in Philadelphia, adjacent to the campus of the University of Pennsylvania. We are at the corner of 40th and Walnut Streets, eleven blocks west of the Schuykill Expressway (76) from the 30th Street or South Street Exits. We are South of Market and Chestnut Streets, and North of Spruce Street.
We are an easy walk from SEPTA public transportation lines. We are a storefront location adjacent to Metropolitan Bakery and the Freshgrocer supermarket and parking garage, opposite Bridge Cinema De Lux.
For public transportation from center city, take city bus #21 West to 40th and Walnut Street. Or, take the "L / Blue Line" train West to 40th and Market Street from 30th Street Amtrak Station or Center City Philadelphia and walk two blocks south. Secure above-ground parking is available for a fee adjacent to the facility. Free and metered street parking is available on Walnut and surrounding streets.

Directions by Car
From the Northeast (New York City): Take the New Jersey Turnpike to exit 4 for Route 73 North. Proceed on Route 73 North to I-295 South. From I-295 South, take exit 26 to I-76 West. Cross over to Philadelphia via the Walt Whitman Bridge. This section of I-76 is also called the Schuylkill Expressway. Take the South Street Exit (Exit 40). This exit will be from the left lane. At the top of the exit ramp, make a left turn onto South Street. Continue straight until 33rd street, and make a right turn. At Walnut Street, make a left turn. Continue straight for 7 blocks. Slought Foundation is located on the right side (North side) of the street at 4017 Walnut Street, which is immediately following the Freshgrocer market and parking garage entrance at the corner of 40th and Walnut Streets.
From the Northwest: Take the Pennsylvania Turnpike to Exit 24, Valley Forge Interchange. Take I-76 East (Schuylkill Expressway) approximately 17 miles to the South Street Exit (Exit 40). This exit will be from the left lane. At the top of the exit ramp, make a right turn onto South Street. Continue straight until 33rd street, and make a right turn. At Walnut Street, make a left turn. Continue straight for 7 blocks. From the North: Take I-95 South to I-676 Westbound toward Center City. From I-676 exit in less than two miles taking "exit only" ramp towards the airport marked I-76 East. Proceed less than a mile to to the South Street Exit (Exit 40). This exit will be from the left lane. At the top of the exit ramp, make a right turn onto South Street. Continue straight until 33rd street, and make a right turn. At Walnut Street, make a left turn. Continue straight for 7 blocks. From the South: Take I-95 North to the Exit signed "291 West to I-76 West". Follow 291 West across the Platt Bridge to 26th Street, which leads directly onto I-76 West. Take I-76 West 3 miles to to the South Street Exit (Exit 40). This exit will be from the left lane. At the top of the exit ramp, make a left turn onto South Street. Continue straight until 33rd street, and make a right turn. At Walnut Street, make a left turn. Continue straight for 7 blocks.
